This is Elizabeth and Fallon. If you are looking for a love story that is not all insta-love with sunshine and rainbows then you have found the right book. This romance is gritty and I loved that about it. Liz is really struggling. She has done something that she can never forgive herself for. She needs help and Fallon is the only one she knows to turn to in her time of need. She has left the person she loves more than anything in the world because of this guilt and the pain that she has caused him. Fallon, however does have a reputation. But to Liz he is safe and the person she needs right now. Fallon has always loved his Kitten, but he has never acted on these feelings. He is holding on to a huge secret.. A secret that he knows will hurt her if it ever comes out. He can’t do that to her. The only thing he knows to do is keep his secret and take her from the place that is causing her so much pain. They are about to travel the world as friends. Liz can’t deal with more than she is dealing with and he refuses to take the chance and hurt her. However, as time passes Liz is healing and feelings might be happening until the secret comes out and everything she thought she was thinking is blown right out of the water and she finds herself in the place of hurt and darkness again. I loved this story. Like I said it is gritty with lots of twists and turns. You do not want to miss this book.
