5 stars for Waking up Blank by Sara Schoen!! Let me start by stating that
the author who wrote this book is only 19 yrs old! She is a great writer
who I just know we will be reading a lot more from!
Chelsea, who is only 17 yrs old, wakes up after being in a coma for four
weeks. She learns that she was brutally attacked and left for dead. As if
that is not enough, she realizes that she has no memory of her life or the
attack. The police inform her that her best friend, Maddie, was with her
during the attack, and she did not survive. Understandably, Chelsea is
stunned by these revelations. However, she is even more stunned when she
discovers that the police and every one else in town thinks that she is the
one who killed Maddie.
Chelsea knows that she can’t trust anyone, and it is going to be up to her
to get her memories back and make sure the person who killed Maddie is
punished. When she is out and about on the town, she always feels like
someone is watching her. She is also involved in some mysterious
“accidents”. She realizes that she is running out of time. If she doesn’t
discover the killer’s identity, she knows that she will be his/her next
victim.
This is a great book with many twists and turns that will keep you guessing
until the very end! While there were a few editing issues, the story
flowed well.
