Carla’s Review:

5 stars for The Lucky Bullet by H S Strickland!  Man oh man did I love this
book.  It had the perfect mixture of love, angst, and danger.

Araylia aka Ray is a single mom who earns a living as a nurse.  The only
relationship she has ever had was with a violent man named Luke.  Luke got
off on abusing Ray both verbally and physically.  Somehow Ray finds the
courage to get herself and her son out of that harmful environment.  When
she begins her new life, she devotes all of her time to her son and her
career leaving no time for a relationship.  That all changes when the sexy
and handsome Mason walks into her ER one night.

Mason is 100% alpha male.  He runs a security business , and he is a take
charge kind of guy.  Much like Ray, he has been beaten down by life and
seems to just be going through the motions of life.  When he meets Ray,
Mason decides to take a chance on her.  He works hard to break down the
walls that she has built around her heart, and it doesn’t take long for the
two to fall in love.  Unfortunately, the past comes crashing into the
present creating a dangerous situation for Mason, Ray, and Ray’s son.
Mason and Ray must decide if their relationship is worth fighting for.

I really enjoyed this book!  The story line kept me interested from
beginning to end.  I fell in love with Mason and Ray and found myself
hoping that they would find their happily ever after.  You should read
this book asap because the next book in this series, The Missing Pieces,
will be released soon.  Kudos to H S Strickland on a job well done!

Christina’s Review:

A professional single mother, Araylia (Ray), meets a “lawenforcer”, Mason (Mace), after he suffers from an injury at work. The twoimmediately hit it off, and boy, are there sparks!

That’s the story, right? Wrong! Ray’s ex and sons “father”,Luke, is coo coo for Cocoa Puffs. That’s right, I said it. Cray Cray. Just whenyou think he’s calmed down and disappeared, nope. Still there.  And while Luke is going bonkers, welearn more about the two lead characters’ pasts and why they are the way theyare.

I really enjoyed meeting some of the “support” charactersand hope that we get to learn more about them in future books. Without thesesupporting rolls, I just might have been less interested in this one.

So what happens? I’m not tellin’. But I will say that it’s aHEA, YAY!

Would I recommend this one? Yes. My only “gripe” was thatthere was more detail in things I didn’t care about and less when I wanted it.But a girl doesn’t always get what she wants…
