Poor Grace has just lost her mother. She is just eleven years old, so she does not know what is going to happen to her. She soon winds up on the Duncan’s front porch. Mrs. Duncan and Gracie’s mom were best friends when they were in high school, so her mother thought the Duncan’s would be a good fit for everyone involved. Her new home is in Sade, Iowa. As Eisav and Grace spend more time together, she realizes that she is falling hard for him. Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This book is like strapping yourself into a rollercoaster backwards and having faith your going where your suppose to go. It’s one w optional book for sure.

Grace loses her mother when she is eleven so my heart immediately was torn out of my chest. I don’t do well with books dealing with the death of the mother. I avoid them like the plague. Thank goodness this isn’t the main focus of the book. Grace ends up on the door step of her mothers high school best friend and is thrown into the Duncan family traumatized and unable to speak. Culture shock is also in pls e since grace had lived in New York City and suddenly finds herself in small town Iowa. Soon the Duncan twin vie for Graces attention to pull her out of her darkness. Falling in love for Grace was never a choice. Eisav is Grace’s soulmate. However deceit and lies do destroy. Webs are weaved and the rollercoaster takes off out of the gate.

I really loved this story. First and soul shattering love is always a great read.
