Never Can Tell, a New Adult Novel Recommended for Ages 18 and Up
(Never too Late #1: This series is a follow up to the Never say Never Trilogy)

“This is love. It’s that simple.”
Some stories are Never finished being told. After all, we’re all victims of heartache and strife at some point. Maybe I’m a little more susceptible to both, but I’ve got an ace up my sleeve. I’ve got Ty McCabe. He’s helped me survive a lot. More than I ever thought possible. We’ve come a long way together, but we can’t stop now. What’s that old saying? Don’t rest on your laurels? Well, I’m not resting and neither is he. Life didn’t even give us that option. We’ve got problems. Big ones. Let’s see if we can do this, survive the downs and get back to the ups. Guess only time will tell.

“…We’re just one. Just one, f*cking, twisted bit of soul in love.”

*Never Series Reading Order*

Book #4: Never Can Tell
Review: 3.5 stars

I want to start by saying that I have not read the first three books in the Never Series but I was told that it should be okay to read it without the others first.  I would suggest that you read the others first.  The characters have a relationship that is knit together by how they relate to each other and both of their messed up pasts.  I probably would have connected to the characters better if I had read their past stories and had an understanding of their full story.

Never Can Tell was well written and the author did a good job of writing the characters so that you could picture them.  As I read I could picture the characters in my head and I started to get into the story and feel the emotions along with them.

The problem I had was that Ty and Never have this intense love and relationship.  They are happily married and have a baby.  They both have issues from their past that have messed them up…I get that.  However, I felt like throughout the book Never was focused on not being good enough and her relationship going bad. Which I can see from her past but, it was throughout the full book even though Ty did nothing but tell her how much she meant to him and how amazing he thought she was.  I just wished that at some point she would have a breath through and get it.  Strengthen herself and stop obsessing about it.  I could see her holding on was because there was huge obstacles that the couple had in their relationship but there weren’t any huge ones. They did have obstacles but nothing that I felt threatened their relationship to the point that she needed to feel so upset over not being enough.
