Synopsis:

Mason and Logan Kade are two brothers who did their own thing. They were rich and expected to attend her school, Fallen Crest Academy. They chose public school and now Samantha has to live with them. The problem is that she doesn’t care at all: about them, about her friends, about her cheating boyfriend, or even about her parent’s divorce. But maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe change is a good thing.

Interview of Helen  (raises eyebrow..this might be scary)

Hello Helen.  Thank you for joining me today.  I know you have a busy schedule, so I’ll jump right in.

1.       Besides gobbling men for pleasure what do you do in your spare time?  Hello Stephanie. How are you? (she readjusts her legs, crossing one over her other knee, and makes sure her necklace is centered on her chest.) What do I do in my spare time? (She smiles and laughs a little.) Besides worrying about my children? I spend a lot of time with at different events and with my friends.

2.       You usually stay in a hotel when you come to see Mason & Logan, have you ever thought about buying another house in the area for you and the boys?

Oh yes. I bought a lot not far from James’ home so the boys can come and go as they please. Logan needs a stable home as well. I think he’ll do really well living with me. He’ll really blossom this year. I’m sure of it.

3.       What kind of work do you do?

I’m a consultant for different organizations and when I’m not doing that, I organize different benefits and charity events. I have a real passion for charity work. There are so many people in need and hurting all over. Anything I can do to help, that’s what I do. Really.

4.       Do you like the way your sons have turned out, despite the way they feel about you and their father?  Well, I know they’re both can be very stubborn, but I’m to blame for a part of that. They get that from myself and my family. Their grandfather was exactly the same, but am I proud? Yes. Yes, I am. They’re both leaders. They both have a good head on their shoulders. They both have very bright futures ahead of them.

5.       What kind of activities do you do for fun?  Oh. (She laughs and presses a hand to her hair, straightening it in place.) Every girl likes a few glasses of wine. I’m no different than anyone else. I enjoy a well-prepared dinner as well. There are so many wonderful eateries and chefs in Fallen Crest. I’ve really forgotten what a gem this town can be.

6.       What do you think will become of your sons as they grow up?  Do you aspire for them to choose  a certain profession over the other?  Oh, well, that’s really up to them. I have no doubt that both of my sons will be successful in life. Whatever they do, I just want them to be happy. I really do. Every mother does. That’s all we can hope for. (She pauses, frowns a little at the interviewer and leans forward.) Do you have children of your own?

7.       What’s your  true opinion of Sam?  Of Samantha? She’s a lovely girl. I’m almost grateful to her. I think she’s been a stabilizing force for Mason. You know, he’s gone off to college now and I know he’s got his goals in priority. She helped him with that. As a high school girlfriend, I couldn’t have hoped for a better choice for Mason.

8.       If you could remove one person from your life who would it be and why?

She starts laughing and then presses a hand over her mouth, trying to calm herself down. She can’t. She peels over again and then snorts out, “No comment. I’m sorry.” She waves her hand in front of her face and takes breaths to calm down.

9.       Are there wedding bells in your future?  If so, to whom?

Wedding bells? Oh dear. A girl can never know. How about that for an answer? A girl can never know.

10.    What’s next for you?

What’s next for me? I supposed a year dedicated to my children. Logan’s living with me before he goes to college. I just want to spend as much time with him as possible! I do.

Thanks for stopping by today Helen.  I want to congratulate you for being voted the Most Hated Character from the readers of Authors In The City book signing.  That’s a real honor I’m sure you wear proudly.  Have a great day!

She stands to leave, hears the last comments, and pauses. “Hated?” Frowning, someone calls for her and she goes, but glances over shoulder at the interviewer. She mutters under her breath, “That must be a mistake..”
