The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office.

I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills.

He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.

Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.

Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.

Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.

Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent.

I was swindled out of ten grand.

The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place.

I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind.

I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.

The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.

The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing.

And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

Virginia’s Review

Once again Vi has written an absolutely fantastic book that I’m already sure will be one of my favorite reads of the year. How is it possible that all of her books are among my favorites? They are all so good. And I swear each one keeps getting better and better.

I inhaled EgoManiac. Devoured it. Couldn’t put it down.

There is something about Vi’s writing- well- there is a lot about it. It’s perfect, it’s flawless, it draws you in and you are captivated by every sentence, every scene. The emotions and feels she brings out. I love how there is always more to her stories- they aren’t just fluff. While they are hot, sexy and romantic, there is always more- something that has happened in the past or is happening that has made the male characters into who they are today. So while they are sex on a stick, charming and witty, they are also sweet, tender and often hurt on the inside. Drew, like all her men, is fabulous. He’s got all the hotness and a fantastic personality and it’s easy to see why Emerie falls for him. But- there is more to him and the story. Emerie is a girl after my own heart- she wants to help people and wants love to save the day. And I say there is nothing wrong with that. I loved her.

These two are fantastic together- they may have quite different ideas when it comes to relationships, but their interactions, banter and dynamic are fantastic. I loved how Drew got under Emerie’s skin, I loved how he could be sweet with her, and I loved how their arguing always led to angry other things.

There is no going wrong with Vi’s books and Ego maniac is no exception! It’s perfection! If you want to be swept away into a story that’s fun, well written, steamy and has just the right amount of everything- you MUST one click EgoManiac!!

Oh and PS- If you know me, you know I claim all the hot book boyfriends. Well let me tell you- Drew has been added to the group.

An ARC was provided to Stephanie’s Book Reports for an honest review.
