Book Description:

Way too young, eleven year old Tucker Creed and his six year old neighbor, Sylvie Bissenette, find they have something awful in common. Creed then decides he’s going to do everything in his limited power to shield his Sylvie from her ordeal. So he does and Creed and Sylvie form a bond that grows and blossoms with their ages.

They plot to leave their lives behind, the town they live in that will hold them down and the histories they share that, unless they break free, will bury them. Sylvie goes to their special place, Creed never shows and she doesn’t see him again until it’s too late.

With Creed gone, Sylvie is forced to endure a nightmare and do the unspeakable to end it. To deal, she develops a hard shell with sharp edges that very few can break through. So when Creed again finds his Sylvie, he discovers the girl he loved is locked away and he has to find his way back into her heart without getting shredded in the process.

Book Review:

This is the second in the Unfinished Hero’s by Kristen Ashley.  Knight being book one.

Again this was an awesome story.  I didn’t know how Kristen would be able to top Knight.  It’s not really about topping the story as this one is totally different from the first.

For years Sylvie has been wondering what happened to the man she was to run away with, Tucker Creed aka Creed.  She’s built her life around one night stands and meaningless relationships with men after Creed left her in her hometown with her abusive father.  Now she’s working a case for Knight and Creed has been hired to assist her on the case.  Sylvie isn’t excited about the man who ran off without a word but she’ll do anything to help Knight.

“I’m not what you want, Sylvie, I get that because it’s the same for you as it is for me.  I’m not what you want ’cause I’m what you need.” ~Creed

Creed has secrets of his own but has always loved Sylvie.  When he finds her again working for Knight he vows he’ll never leave her side again.  Sylvie is not ready to trust him.

“You’re my world, Sylvie.  Always have been.  Always will be.” ~Creed

Again…Swoon!  I love reading love stories just to hear how the man confesses his love for his woman.  It’s definitely swoon worthy!

I give this book a 5/5 stars and 5/5 flames.
