synopsis

Your whole world can change in a single moment—a reckless moment where you let go of your inhibitions and you lose control.

I pride myself on never losing control, but somehow, I did with her.

It started with a promise. It grew with a kiss. And it ended in heartbreak.

My name is Tristan Knight and this is my story. I’m not your average New York millionaire. In fact, when this story begins I am nothing to no one except her. My best friend’s little sister—the light among the darkness.

Carla’s Review:

4 stars for Drawn to You by Vanessa Booke.  This is the story of Tristan
and Emily.

*I was given a copy of this book as a gift by Stephanie’s Book Reports in
exchange for an honest review.
At 17, Tristan is living with the Stonehaven family due to the fact that
his mother is their maid.  Emily, the Stonehaven’s daughter, is 14 and
infatuated by Tristan.  Events transpire which force Tristan and his mother
to move away.  His mother becomes an alcoholic, and the years spent taking
care of her have worn Tristan down.

At the age of 21, he gets the opportunity to move back in with the
Stonehavens, so he sends his mother to rehab and moves back to the only
place that has ever felt like home.  When he sees Emily for the first time
in four years, he is blown away.  She is no longer an awkward teenager but
a beautiful young woman.  He is instantly attracted to her, but he fights
it because she is still underage.  Can he continue to resist the
temptation, or will he give into his passion?

This is a really good story.  It ends with a huge cliffhanger, so I can not
wait for the next book in the series to see how this relationship unfold.
